Brighton Estate (1861) is the remaining portion of the larger (1700) Daniel Mathews Estate. Brighton Estate was one of the largest and most influential estates in St. Kitts and was operational up to 2005 when the Sugar Industry officially closed. The rich history of Brighton and its sprawling land still echo the story of St. Kitts, shaped by generations of labor, wealth, and change.
